Organisation (The Who)

| The Director/Owner | Overall and final responsibility for ensuring the Policy is implemented and adequately resourced. Responsible for setting the safety culture. |
| The Manager/Supervisor | Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Policy on site. Ensuring Risk Assessments are carried out and that *COSHH procedures are followed. Ensuring *LOLER inspections are up to date on all lifting gear. |
| The Competent Person | The individual (internal or external consultant) appointed to assist the company with technical health and safety advice (e.g., writing the COSHH assessments and reviewing the Operations Manual). |

1. Amendments
This Arrangements may only be modified by a written amendment signed by an authorized representative of Originmaler, or by the posting by Originmaler of a revised version in accordance with Our Terms of Service . These Health and Safety Policy Statements, together with the Originmaler Privacy Statement, represent a more complete and exclusive statement and instructions of the agreement between you and us.
2. Abbreviations/ Terms
HSE - Health, Safety, & Environment,
Focuses on protecting workers, the public, and the environment from hazards.
HASAWA (or HSWA, HSW Act) - Health and Safety at Work etc. (Act 1974),
foundational law for workplace health, safety, and welfare in Great Britain, requiring employers to protect workers and the public by managing risks, providing training, and maintaining safe environments, with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as its regulator.
COSHH - Control of Substances Hazardous to Health ,
UK law requiring employers to protect workers from harmful substances (chemicals, dust, fumes, etc.)
LOLER - Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (1998),
UK law requiring employers and those controlling lifting equipment (like cranes, hoists, lifts)
PUWER- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (1998),
UK legal framework requiring employers and those in control of machinery to ensure all work equipment (from simple tools to complex machinery) is safe, suitable, properly maintained, and used by competent, trained personnel, covering risks to health and safety.
RIDDOR - Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (2013),
UK law requiring employers, self-employed, and those in control of premises to report specific serious work-related accidents, illnesses, and dangerous incidents (like near misses) to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to track risks and improve safety.
RPE - Respiratory Protective Equipment
GVC - General Visual Line of Sight Certificate,
UK professional drone qualification from the CAA, enabling commercial pilots to apply for an Operational Authorisation for higher-risk flights, like flying drones up to 25kg in built-up areas, requiring theory, practical tests, and an Operations Manual. It's the industry standard for advanced operations, proving competence beyond basic rules, and is valid for five years.
